In the month of August 170 homes sold in the City and County of Grande Prairie. Of those homes 57 were priced over $500,000 and 79 were between $300,000-$500,000. Of the 170 homes sold, 136 were detached units.
What does this mean for the Grande Prairie real estate market?
With Grande Prairie having quite severe winter weather, many people prefer to move in the spring and summer months rather than winter. This results in a consistently slower real estate market in the winter versus summer. That being said, although the winter market is slower, houses still sell!

As seller’s we can sometimes get blinded with love and think that our home is worth more than the market supports or we have debt that we hope to payoff and price it higher than the home is worth.
